| I have explored the sites of 6-7 CCC camps in our area, and most have little evidence remaining of the old camps. This camp was an exception, and I found remains of terraces, foundations, walls, cellars, stairs, etc. I had terrible lighting for shooting structures under tree cover, but you have to take what you get... |

| Stairs leading from one terrace level to the next. Amusingly, this looks considerably more like a Mayan ruin than the so called "Mayan" site near Track Rock Gap! |

I spotted this unusual building alongside a trail across the road. It was constructed of concrete, with an unusual rounded concrete roof. Except for the door, it looked very much like an above-ground crypt. But based on the small screened vents in the walls, I think this was a dynamite storage bunker from the CCC camp. I have seen similar bunkers near two other CCC camps. For obvious safety reasons, these were always built at some distance from the camps. |

| A couple of 1936 photos of Camp Woody. The tents have been replaced by hard-sided structures. Note the different terrace levels, still visible today. |
