| Puttyroot Orchid (Anemone quinquefolia) After seeing the flower stalks emerging two weeks earlier, I forgot all about checking these until it was too late. All of the stalks in the main group were spent and withered. I found this single stalk still in flower among some nearby plants. Something had chewed off the top of the flower stalk, but at least it still had a few open flowers. |
