I'd planned to visit two bogs near Standing Indian, but the water was too high, along with the resultant sucking muck factor.   So I headed to Buck Creek to look at more Fringed Gentians.   The site we'd visited on our hike a week earlier isn't the main population, but it was the easiest group to reach at the time.   This time I went to the "main" area; being late afternoon by now, many of the flowers had already closed up.   But I found plenty that were still open.

Pond-bog
The "pond-bog" was starting to develop a little color, compared to a week earlier.
