After shooting drone photos at the Standing Indian bogs, I made a short
visit to Barnard's pond / bog to see how the fall color was coming along..


Pond-bog
The color was beginning to come on around the pond / bog.

If you look closely, you can see seven Monarchs in this photo.

Eastern Tiger Swallowtail (Papilio glaucus),
a little raggedy in the rear...



Asters
New England Asters (Symphyotrichum novae-angliae),
just one of this genera prodigiously blooming at this time of year.

Spiranthes
I've seen a lot of Spiranthes at Buck Creek over the years, but
I'd never seen them as thick as a spot I came across this day.
This is just one section of an area where there were hundreds.
