After spending a little time around Buck Creek,
I headed up to the FS Road at Corundum Knob.

Appalachian Oak Leach (Aureolaria levigata) in bud.

I've noticed over the years that one needs to photograph
these Oak Leaches as soon as they flower, since it doesn't
take long before the flower edges start to turn brown.

I had never seen this type of Chanterelle before.
NOT good for eating, from what I understand.

These were on their way out, but some were still in flower.
