1 - May 7, 2025:

I stopped by our two local Nature Conservancy Preserves to check on the endangered Green Pitcher Plants, among others.   Overall they were looking good.   They were a little behind their usual flowering time; lots of buds but only a handful of blooms so far.

2 - May 30, 2025:

After photographing Cleistesiopsis bifaria over in Gumlog, I stopped
by to monitor things here, since it was practically on my way home.

Pitcher_plants
There were a lot more Pitcher Plants in bloom than earlier in
the month, although the petals had already dried on many.

But there were still some nice fresh flowers.

3 - June 18, 2025:

On a late afternoon between showers, I thought I'd
go over and see if the Bog Candles were blooming.

Lysimachia
Bog Candle   (Lysimachia terrestris)
It wasn't a great year here for blooms of this species, probably due to all
the rain and lack of sunny days.   Most of the influorescences were small
like this; not the lengthy torch-like racemes that I've seen in other years.

This was the only example I found of the lengthy racemes that I
can usually find here, and unfortunately it was about bloomed out

There were a lot of these flitting around here, but
they didn't like me getting anywhere near them.
