An early July visit:

Grass_Pinks
There were still a few Grass Pink Orchids (Calopogon tuberosus) blooming.

In late July, twelve folks put in a good day's work at the Seeps.   We performed woody stem reduction
in priority areas, marked sensitive plant spots, and girdled and thinned some trees to allow daylight.

Swamp_Milkweed
We found some nice Swamp Milkweed   (Asclepias incarnata)


Euphorbia
Glade Spurge   (Euphorbia purpurea) - not in bloom
It is very unusual to see this species this far south...



Lobelia
Lobelia species - alba form
This seemed larger and more robust than the Pale Spiked Lobelia (Lobelia spicata) that I usually see here.

Rat snake   (Pantherophis spiloides)   in undergrowth

More St. John's Wort   (Hypericum sp.)


Mountain_mint
Mountain mint   (Pycnanthemum sp.)
