Wiley Jones' Grist Mill on Pumpkinvine Creek

Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Paulding Co., originally built of logs, was torn down by Federal Troops in May of 1864.
The logs were used to build a bridge across Pumpkinvine Creek near the Wiley Jones Mill.   It is believed that some
of the Jones' teen-aged sons were killed by Union troops.   Jones Mill was destroyed in the great flood of April 1884.

All that remains of Wiley Jones' mill is a partial foundation.
