Frostweed in our yard, Hiawassee, GA
| Frostweed (Verbesina virginica) aka Frost Flowers, Ice Ribbons, Ice Flowers, Wingstem, and other common names.... Following our move to the mountains, I was somewhat disappointed at not being able to photograph the icy ribbon flowers of Verbesina virginica. These plants were found near our old home, but didn't appear on the distribution range maps near Hiawassee. So I set about remedying that situation, starting seeds for our garden in early 2019. |
