Frostweed (Verbesina virginica) - November 23, 2021 With a low of 25 degrees in the morning, I knew it was time to look for "blooms" on our Frostweed.   This "bloom" wasn't quite as impressive as last year's first bloom, but was still pretty and interesting to see.

Uncut stalks produce long "swords" of ice

November 27, 2021 A few mornings later, more cold temps brought on another burst of icy flowers, so, of course, I had to shoot a few more photos...

If the stalks are cut, they produce a more "flowery" ribbon of ice
