I was never really happy with the photos of these ruins that I took in 2013, due to the leafy summer undergrowth and
poor lighting conditions.   I revisited the ruins and also shot some of the other historic structures around the property.

Hambidge's Building & Grounds Manager showed me the architect's rendering of the Lodge

The designer, Emmett Dougherty, was a well-known Atlanta architect, who
later moved to Nashville and designed several well-known structures there.

Built about 1912, this stone structure is slowly tilting into the underground spring.
